me2┬áNothing is more important than knowing who you are and whose you are. Making a name in the fashion scene can be quite difficult especially with the stiff competition, one can easily say that your faith will indeed be tested. But knowing who you are as a person and knowing your gift, you can assess who it is you belong to as a child of God. I decided to have a moment of truth to all of those who read my blog. I want to reach out to those who are in my same situation or inspire those who wish to reach a certain level of success. It’s a job keeping it together- family, fashion, and fortune- but someone has to do it.

As a mom of 1 1/2 kids- it’s quite funny saying that since I have 1 kid and another on the way- a wife, sister, and granddaughter, life as I know it can be quite stressful. Many days I wake up and juggle so much on my plate that a prayer is needed to keep my sanity. But I’m a woman, right? I can do it all, right? Even the toughest women reach a point where a break is needed from the kids, phones are off, and the bed is your only friend. Having been doing this family thing for 4 years has changed my perspective on life and what really matters the most. Sometimes having such a big responsibility can make it challenging to complete your goals, but there is hope. For those who might have a family or are one day looking to start one, know that your dreams don’t have to be put on hold. Without the teamwork that my husband and I put in, I’m not sure how we’re able to keep it all together. I’m reaching out because as a mom and wife I’m telling you to not lose sight in who you are. Find yourself and OWN it!

As a mom keeping up with fashion can be difficult because of with everything that is going on around you. I try not not to lose myself because looking my best is when I feel my best. My passion for fashion is something I’ve had since I was little and I’m talking waaay back. My mom dressed me in Guess as a toddler back when it was the thing (hint: the 80’sLOL). Transitioning into a new life and adjusting into a new lifestyle had me on my toes because I wouldn’t dare be caught not being an MILF, but then reality kicks in and your dates turn into supermarket dates, doctor visit dates and playground dates LOL. After having my son Kingston, I decided to manage time with the kid and husband as well as time to keep my fashion intact. My advice would be to find your sexy and OWN it!

Many people define fortune as wealth, power, or luck. I define fortune as family, friends, and giving back to others in need. I never wanted my life to be consumed by the materialistic things of this world. I get pleasure out of the simple things in life- family, friends and laughter. Of course I aspire to be a celebrity stylist but I also know that there is a time and place for everything. I do believe that everything has timing and goes according to God’s plan. Right now my main focus is helping others, being an inspiration ┬áto other moms and wives that they too can manage family and a business. What does fortune mean to you? Find your fortune and OWN it!

I decided to write this blog post because many of us need a reality check, it’s important to put things into perspective. I definitely needed this because life can swallow you whole and spit you out, and being caught in the whirl wind of things makes it difficult to gain positive insight. I hope I was able to reach those in need who are struggling to keep it all together- family, fashion and fortune.
